Located in the prefecture of Heraclion the town of Hersonisson, where the FSAS 2010 will take place is conveniently located in the center of the island of Crete, offering noumerous opportunities for visiting the beautiful surroundings.
The city of Heraclion (approx. population 300k) is just over 30min away and the idillic town of Aghios Nikolaos is also nearby.
The exploration of the southern part of Crete with its lovely beaches is a highly reccomended experience.
